Welcome to SISTER Connection (Spiritually In Step to Encourage Restoration)
a 501c3, Christ centered outreach welcoming women who have been impacted by the prison system, are on probation or parole, releasing from jail or prison or released through pretrial. SISTER has been reaching out to women in the Tucson and Phoenix area since 2003 and we understand there can be many obstacles upon release and in the years to follow.
At SISTER Connection, our goal is to provide a nurturing and informative atmosphere encouraging women to return to their families and community and walk with joy and confidence in who God created them to be. To help accomplish this, SISTER Connection offers a weekly support meeting providing an opportunity to participate in a Bible study, connect with other women facing similar challenges, and receive information on 12 Step Groups, employment opportunities, housing, and transportation. Hygiene items and clothing referrals to Eagles Wings of Grace and the YWCA Your Sisters Closet, are available free of charge.
SISTER Connection also facilitates networking with employers, community programs, court systems, Child Protective Services, landlords, businesses, churches and food banks giving participants the opportunity and information needed to make successful choices. As the number of women reentering the judicial system increases at an alarming rate of 85%; SISTER Connection offers a Christ-centered alternative to this cycle of return. Speaking into their lives with the plan God has for them, SISTER Connection continues to make a difference
